Converting PDF Documents
Note: All conversions will be applied only on the selected content. To learn about content selection, see Selecting Content.Copying Text
To copy a selected portion of text from the PDF file to the clipboard: click on the Edit menu, and then click Copy Text.

Converting PDF Documents to Microsoft Word
Note: To learn how to convert images to MS Word, see Converting Images to Microsoft Word.- Choose one of the following options to convert PDF to Word:
- On the Convert menu, click PDF to Word.
- On the Toolbar, click the Word icon

- Select content for conversion. Note: To learn how to select content, see Selecting Content.
- Select one of the three conversion modes:
- Standard conversion gives the best output for most documents. It retains background graphics and textual layout.
- Forms conversion is suitable only for PDF forms. PDF forms are PDF Documents with fields for entering data. This option will convert those fields into the appropriate Word document elements.
- Text conversion converts only the text parts of the selected content. This conversion mode is recommended when the user wants to edit or use only the text portion of the PDF.
- Select output format:
- Create Word Document (*.docx or *.doc). To create Microsoft Word 2007 or 2010 documents, choose .docx. For earlier MS Office versions, choose the .doc output format.
- Create RTF Document (*.rtf). Documents can be opened and edited on any operating system, and saved into almost all versions of any word processor. Besides editing in Microsoft Word, this file format can be edited in other processors such as WordPad, OpenOffice, KWord, WordPerfect, TextEdit and more.
- Graphics Handling
- Preserve all graphics - To preserve the look and feel of the original PDF, check the box All Graphics in Background. When the user checks this box, the Vector graphics in background box gets instantly checked as well.
- Preserve only vector graphics - To create Word documents that include only vector images from the source PDF file, check the box Vector graphics in background.


- Advanced options
- To customize conversion output even more, click the Advanced options button. This opens the following dialog box:
- Choose and adjust the preferred customizations and click OK.

- Click the button Convert to Word
or the Word icon
on the Toolbar.
Converting PDF Documents to Microsoft Excel
Note: To learn how to convert images to MS Excel, see Converting Images to Microsoft Excel.- Choose any of the following options to convert PDF to Excel:
- On the Convert menu, click PDF to Excel.
- On the Toolbar, click the Excel icon

- Select content for conversion. Note: To learn how to select content, see Selecting Content.
- Advanced Options
- Customize conversion output by checking the box in front of the preferred option:
- Click the button More Advanced Options… to open the dialog box with more preferences:


- Check the desired options and click OK.
- Click the button Convert to Excel
or the Excel icon
on the Toolbar.
Converting PDF Documents to Microsoft PowerPoint
- Choose any of the following options to convert PDF to PowerPoint:
- On the Convert menu, click PDF to PowerPoint.
- On the Toolbar, click the PowerPoint icon

- Select content for conversion. Note: To learn how to select content see Selecting Content.
- Click the button Convert to PowerPoint
or the PowerPoint icon
on the Toolbar.
Converting PDF Documents to Microsoft Publisher
- To convert PDF to Publisher, choose one of the options:
- On the Convert menu, click PDF to Publisher.
- On the Toolbar, click the Publisher icon

- Select content for conversion. Note: To learn how to select content, see Selecting Content.
- Select Conversion Mode:
- The Standard option gives the optimal conversion results for most documents. All contents are placed in one frame, while images and other objects are placed in separate frames.
- The Paragraph conversion mode places each paragraph into a separate frame. It is most suitable for editing or rearranging the content of your document.
- Object is the smallest recognized group of items on the page. This conversion mode creates a maximum number of frames available and allows for maximum editing flexibility.
- Click on the button Convert to Publisher
or the Publisher icon
on the Toolbar.
Converting PDF Documents to HTML
- To convert PDF to HTML choose between two options:
- On the Convert menu, click PDF to HTML.
- On the Toolbar, click the HTML icon

- Select content for conversion. Note: To learn how to select content, see Selecting Content.
- Click on the Convert to HTML button
or the HTML icon
on the Toolbar.
Converting PDF Documents to Images
- Choose any of the following options to convert the PDF document to Image:
- On the Convert menu, click PDF to Image.
- On the Toolbar, click the Image icon
.

- On the dynamic sidebar, select the image type and specific image properties.
- Choose the type of scaling, and scale. You can choose to scale images either by size or resolution.
- The default location for saving images is the same as the location of the opened PDF document. If you uncheck the Same as source button, you can specify another folder for saving images.
- Click on the PDF to Image button
or the Image icon
on the Toolbar.
